On Wednesday 7th February 2001 Clare Farrar, from the county's road safety office, presented Anne Ravenhill with a certificate. The presentation took place on the bridge at junction 9 of the M65 motorway near Burnley. With them was Mr. John Lomas, a driving instructor and member of the Motor Schools Association North West Committee, who has also been involved in the scheme.

LCC 5th Birthday

Learn-2-Live campaigner Anne Ravenhill joined the recent celebrations for the 5th anniversary of the "Together We Can Make The Difference" campaign. Lancashire County Council Road Safety Group's long-term road safety strategy boasts over 20,000 pledges from individuals, companies and organisations and has played an important part in raising awareness of road safety issues, while helping to reduce road casualties, since it began back in 1998. One of the many organisations involved with Make The Difference is the Learn-2-Live Motorway Safety Campaign©.

Anne at County Hall

Campaign organiser Anne has worked tirelessly for compulsory motorway tuition for every new qualified driver for over 12 years. Anne said: "We are all involved in road safety and it is so much easier to work together, in partnership. At the end of the day, the end product is the same and we all want the same thing - to reduce road casualties. The Make The Difference strategy keeps me in touch with what is going on around the county, bringing together people in support of road safety initiatives."
